How to Find EV Charging Stations
A tool for checking, ahead of a move, a trip, or a business trip, whether a neighborhood has a registered EV charging station. We organize public data from all 193 cities, counties, and districts exactly as published, and we always show how current that data is right alongside it.
What this tool does
Choose a province and a city or county, and we show every charging station registered there in the Korea Environment Corporation's Standard Data for Nationwide Electric Vehicle Charging Stations. Fast and slow charging availability, the number of chargers, operating hours, closed days, and the operator's name and phone number appear too when the source data includes them. Across the country, 5,961 stations are registered.
The values are exactly as written in the public data. We do not rewrite or summarize them.
The basic rule for reading charging info
Fast charging availability and slow charging availability are each a plain yes or no. Some stations have both. Stations with slow charging only slightly outnumber stations with fast charging only. When a connector type combination is listed(DC combo, DC chademo, AC three-phase, and so on) we show it exactly as written, since connector types vary by vehicle and any summary from us would be risky.
If the opening and closing times are 00:00 and 23:59 (or 24:00), the station is open around the clock; otherwise it may be unavailable outside those hours. Closed days, when listed, are shown alongside.
This app's specific rules
The single most important thing to know: this data is neither real-time nor recent. The newest reference date across the whole country is 2020-10-28, and the oldest is 2015-08-31. Stations opened or removed since 2020 may not be in this list. Each region page shows that region's own reference date, and flags a warning when it is more than two years old.
We show whether a parking fee applies when that field is present in the data. The standard data does not include the charging fee itself, so we cannot show that either.
When latitude and longitude are present and fall inside South Korea, we add a map link. If coordinates are missing or fall outside that range (163 entries, by full count), we do not add a link, since sending someone to the wrong spot is worse than showing nothing.
The province is present directly in the source data; we derive the city or county from the road address (or, if missing, the parcel address). Eight entries whose addresses were old-style village or township names, with no city or county token to place, are left out of this list.
Basic tips
- Start from the neighborhood name. Pick a province on the home page, then a city or county, to see every station there.
- Check fast versus slow. Charging at a slow-only station takes much longer. Also check whether the connector type matches your vehicle.
- Check operating hours and closed days. Confirm the hours before visiting a station that is not open around the clock.
Advanced tips
- Always check the reference date. The entire dataset predates 2020, so stations may have opened or closed since. Treat this list as a starting point, and confirm with a real-time map app before an actual visit.
- Call the operator when in doubt. Where a phone number is listed, calling directly is the most reliable way to confirm old or ambiguous entries.
- Prefer stations with both. A station with both fast and slow charging gives you more flexibility when planning a stop.
Common sticking points
My neighborhood is not here. That means no station in this area is registered in the standard data. It does not necessarily mean there is none in reality. Since the data itself stopped updating before 2020, please also check a current charging map.
A station I remember is missing. The data most likely simply stopped updating. Check the reference date shown on the page, and prefer a real-time map app.
I want to know if a charger is free right now. This app does not cover that. A real-time map app takes priority for that question.
Where is this recorded. Which neighborhood you looked at is never sent to a server. See the privacy policy below for details.
